Home health aide

Duties and responsibilities: Home health aides usually work for companies that provide in-home assistance to ill, injured, elderly, or disabled customers. They also prepare and serve meals as well as perform housekeeping chores like making beds and cleaning rooms.  

Salary:  $8,000 - $18,000

Education: Most employers prefer that nursing assistants and aides have a high school diploma or GED certificate.  Some vocational schools and community colleges offer training programs.
